The nine schools and colleges that make-up Emory University include Oxford College, the Goizueta Business School, the Laney Graduate School, the School of Law, the School of Medicine, the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, the Rollins School of Public Health, and the Candler School of Theology.

Library System

Research

Regarding Ebola research and care, Emory is a world expert. During the 2014 Ebola crisis, the university was one of three facilities that successfully treated medical evacuees. Emory University was designated as the National Ebola Training and Education Center's primary coordination centre by the US Department of Health and Human Services in 2015. 

The Georgia Research Alliance and nine separate National Institutes of Health institutes, including the Centre for AIDS Research (CFAR) and Vaccine Centre at Emory University, are world leaders in developing HIV pathogenesis research and AIDS vaccines, respectively.

Arts

The performing and fine arts are available to students as electives or extracurricular pursuits. The performing arts (dance, theatre, or music), film studies, art history, the visual arts, or creative writing are all options for undergraduate majors. Graduate degrees are available in music, film studies, and art history.

Greek Life

Greek-letter organisations like sororities and fraternities contribute to the ambience on Emory's campus. Greek life makes up about 30% of the undergraduate student body at Emory. Fraternities and sororities have on-campus chapters that are recognised and governed by the Office of Greek Life.

Student Organisations

On the Emory campus, there are hundreds of clubs and organisations for students. Among them are numerous student governments, speciality groups, and service organisations.

The intramural sports programme offers the entire Emory community a place to engage in athletic activity. There are various intramural teams at Emory that participate in both leisure and competitive club sports. Weekend excursions for outdoor pursuits, including rafting, rock climbing, and hiking, are sponsored by the Outdoor Emory Organisation.

Athletics

Both the U.S. News & World Report rankings of the greatest colleges and universities and the Directors' Cup awarded by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) for the best all-around athletics programme place Emory among the top universities.

The 18 varsity sports teams at Emory, known as the Eagles, compete in Division III of the University Athletic Association of the NCAA.

Emory University Student Accommodation

The majority of students live on campus for the entire four years, although first- and second-year students are expected to do so.

The Undergraduate Residential Center, Clairmont Residential Center, Tower Apartments, Alabama Hall, Complex, Dobbs Hall, Harris Hall, Eagle Hall, Raoul Hall, and Turman Hall are a few examples of undergraduate residences available on campus.
