Our accommodations include a variety of room types as well as a variety of facilities and services to meet your needs. Studios, en-suites, and flats are among the several types of accommodations available. Departments and Divisions
The university offers undergraduate study in over 350 different courses, postgraduate taught study in over 600 different courses, and postgraduate research in over 140 research courses and over 450 PhD opportunities. Continuing Professional Development courses are also offered to support one’s career and help develop and enhance CVs. There are free, online courses called MOOCs courses offered as well and they are designed to offer a taste of higher education to learners around the world.
The university consists of a number of schools, institutes, and departments. There are five colleges and each college has a number of divisions within. The College of Arts and Law includes Birmingham Law School, English, Drama, and Creative Studies, History and Cultures, Language, Cultures, Art History, and Music, and Philosophy, Theology, and Religion.
The College of Medical and Dental Sciences includes Applied Health Research, Biomedical Science, Birmingham Medical School, Cancer and Genomic Sciences, Cardiovascular Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Dentistry, Graduate School, Immunology and Immunotherapy, Inflammation and Ageing, Metabolism and Systems Research, Microbiology and Infection, Nursing, and Pharmacy.
The College of Life and Environmental Sciences consists of Biosciences, Geography, Earth, and Environmental Sciences, Psychology, Sport, Exercise, and Rehabilitation Sciences. The College of Engineering and Physical Sciences includes Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Metallurgy and Materials, and Physics and Astronomy. The College of Social Sciences includes Birmingham Business School, Education, Government, and Social Policy.

The Selly Oak Campus facilities include conference and hospitality facilities, Birmingham Day Nurseries, libraries, UoB Sport and Fitness, and an online shop.
