LASALLE College of the Arts is a publicly-funded post-secondary arts institution and a soon-to-be University of the Arts by 2023 in alliance with the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore. Established in 1984, LASALLE has eight art and design schools that offer more than 30 diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate programmes in contemporary arts and design education. LASALLE's bachelor's and master's degrees are validated by Goldsmiths College, University of London, one of the leading universities in the world for arts and humanities. From the performing arts to the visual arts, the LASALLE schools are at the forefront of the contemporary art scene in Singapore. These schools are the McNally School of Fine Arts, the Puttnam School of Film & Animation, the School of Creative Industries, the School of Design Communication, the School of Fashion, the School Of Spatial And Product Design, the School of Contemporary Music, and the School of Dance & Theatre. The college offers a wide range of programmes on a world-class campus, you can expect an unparalleled arts education that’s designed to nurture the students’ passion for the arts and push the boundaries of creative excellence. The college offers certificates in courses like the English Language for the Creative Arts. Some of the offered diploma courses at the college are in disciplines like animation, audio production, broadcast media, creative direction for fashion, dance, fine arts, interior design, music, performing arts, theatre production, and many more. As for the BA(Hons), the college provides courses in acting, animation art, arts management, design communication, fashion design and textile, fashion media and industries, film, fine art, musical theatre, product design, and more courses. Also, the college offers postgraduate courses in art therapy, arts pedagogy and practice, Asian arts, creative writing, design, and fine arts.
LASALLE's McNally Campus has won three international architectural awards: PUSH Award 2009, Singapore Institute of Architects; Building of the Year Award 2008, 9th Singapore Institute of Architect’s Design Awards; and President’s Design Award 2008. The campus’s design provides many platforms for boundless interaction and inspiration. The LASALLE compound offers students an impressive array of performance and exhibition spaces for learning and showcasing. The campus has 1,500 sq m of contemporary art exhibition and gallery spaces. You can find the region’s first theatre and art production workshop on-campus. You can also find 3 theatres, 21 computer labs equipped with iMacs and Windows, 14 classrooms, 3 lecture theatres, and 84 studios. Besides, you can find 29 fine arts & design studios, 4 fully equipped fine arts and design technical workshops, a computer lab equipped with iMacs, and a classroom on the Winstedt Campus.
