Why Study at Bedford School
Bedford is a school with a long history, having been founded in 1552 by the Royal Charter. The school has seen constant transformation and growth during the years that have followed. In 1811, Bedford School began accepting boarders, and in 1891, it relocated to its current location.
Since 2000, the school have built a new library, music school, fitness centre, observatory, and planetarium at St Luke's, as well as a library, music school, fitness centre, and observatory.
Departments and Divisions
Bedford School offers prep school and upper school. For the prep school, students are taken through some steps in each of the following courses, starting The School Week, Future Skills Curriculum, Academic Excellence, Beyond The Classroom, until they reach the last course the Moving Up, where they take the online Bedford School Assessment Test (BSAT) that moves them to the upper school. For the upper school, there are around 4 courses, which are GCSE, A-Level, International Baccalaureate, and General Education. Each has a different curriculum and a wide variety of subjects.
