Cancellation Policy
What rules apply to this Cancellation Policy?
It follows the ANUK/Unipol National Code, which overrides the policy if there is any conflict.Can I cancel my tenancy if I don’t meet the Cancellation Criteria?
No automatic right to cancel. You will normally remain liable for the full rent for the entire fixed term unless the landlord/agent agrees, at their sole discretion, to release you.If I am released, do I still have to pay rent?
Yes. If you are released after your tenancy has started, you must still pay rent for 4 weeks from the date you are notified in writing of your release.
Can I avoid paying the 4-week rent liability?
Yes, but only if a suitable replacement tenant is found by you and approved by the landlord/agent.
