Moss Court Overview

Location

The accommodation offers three payment options: paying the full rent upfront, termly instalments, or monthly instalments.<ul style=""><li dir="ltr">Full payment is usually due one month before the contract starts, or at booking if booked after 1st August.</li><li dir="ltr">Termly payments are split into three instalments in August, January, and April.</li><li dir="ltr">Monthly payments are usually spread over 10 months (sometimes 12, depending on location), due on the 1st of each month.</li></ul>A guarantor is required for all instalment plans. If you book after 1st August, the first instalment must be paid at booking.Payment schedules are shown during booking, included in the contract, and accessible through the online portal. For 2026/27 (51-week contracts), the key dates are 1st August 2026, 8th January 2027, and 20th April 2027 for termly payments.The above payment policy is a synopsis of the property’s payment policy. There could be a few changes incorporated from time to time. Hence, we recommend you review the full Accommodation Contract for a comprehensive understanding of their payment policies.

Payment Terms

1. Bookings before 1 Jan 2026You have a 14-day cooling-off period after signing. Cancel within this time: full deposit refund.After 14 days, cancellation is only allowed in specific cases:<ul style=""><li dir="ltr">Visa refusal</li><li dir="ltr">Not meeting academic requirements</li><li dir="ltr">Failing English language requirements</li><li dir="ltr">University place deferred</li><li dir="ltr">Government travel restrictions are preventing entry</li></ul>Requirements: Official evidence must be submitted (university/UCAS/visa authority). Usually within 5 days of notification (or before tenancy start for travel restrictions).Outcome: If approved, cancellation is allowed, and the full deposit is refunded. 2. After tenancy startsYou cannot cancel freely. You must find a replacement tenant (student, approved, full-term contract, pays deposit).If approved:<ul style=""><li dir="ltr">You are released from the contract</li><li dir="ltr">Deposit is refunded in full</li></ul>Deposit may be held if there are:<ul style=""><li dir="ltr">Outstanding fees</li><li dir="ltr">Property damage </li></ul>3. Bookings on or after 1 Jan 2026Cooling-off period reduced to 48 hours. Moss Court

This is definitely one of the better accommodations I’ve stayed in in the past few years. There’s a full working kitchen, which works out well as I like to cook. The others in my cluster really appreciate my cooking too! This is right near the Univeristy and some shops. My room actually looks over the park, so the view is good too. I don’t have a car, but this is really close to a bunch of things and right by a bus stop. The employees are super friendly. I’m definitely going to stay here next year.

I like Moss Court not only for its great conditions, equipped rooms and friendly staff, but also for robust security system from strangers.  Moss Court accommodation has surveillance cameras and controlled access system. There you can feel as safe as possible. It’s a big advantage.

This student hall is great! I applied for the silver room. It’s been great so far. It’s clean, with good ventilation and really fast internet. I was a bit nervous after reading the other reviews, but apparently this was taken over by a new company and they’ve been working hard to get some improvements in. There’s a pretty big parking area, which is nice. It’s even better that this is right next to a park.

The Moss Court is in a nice area near shops, hospitals, the university, and restaurants. All the apartment facilities are working correctly, for example, a microwave and a fridge. I have read the comments of a year ago, and I was afraid to start living here, but the good news is the company that has terrible management has gone, and the original company has returned. The rooms are quite large, and parking is always available. It is an attractive place to live in Manchester.

This accommodation is not perfect, but it is improving its performance. I have experienced some security problems, including missing parcels. However, the management team have made an important effort and equipped the building with CCTV cameras on the perimeter. Regarding rooms, I think that Moss Court offers a good accommodation for a reasonable price. The location is nice, and there is a plenty of parking space.
