Plummer House Overview

Location

Paying for your accommodation can be easier during Clearing, with some properties offering 9 or 10 instalments instead of paying everything upfront. Just keep in mind that payment options can vary by property. DepositTo apply for and book a flat or bedroom, you must pay a £100 reservation fee (herein referred to as 'Reservation Rent'). The breakdown of this payment is as follows:<ul><li>£50 for re-bookers (students already living with us who are renewing)</li><li>£100 for direct let bookings (all new applicants)</li></ul> Payment Options&nbsp;The following payment options for your accommodation fees:<ul><li>One full payment</li><li>Four instalments</li></ul> Instalment Payment DetailsTo pay in instalments, you must provide proof of a UK-based guarantor. If you do not have a UK-based guarantor, you can still opt for instalment payments, but a 5% upfront fee will be applied to your total accommodation fees. First Instalment Due DateThe first instalment, equivalent to 4 weeks' rent, is due before your tenancy start date. A larger second instalment is due at the end of September. Payment DatesAll payment dates are clearly outlined in your tenancy agreement. Typically, a portion of your rent is due at the beginning of August. Consequences of Late PaymentIf we do not receive your first rent instalment by your tenancy start date, your booking may be cancelled, and you will not be able to collect your key. UK Guarantor RequirementsA UK guarantor must meet the following criteria:<ul><li>Be over the age of 25</li><li>Have a fixed address in the UK</li><li>Provide proof of address and photo ID</li></ul> Options Without a GuarantorIf you do not have a UK guarantor, you can choose to:<ul><li>Pay in full upfront without the need for a guarantor</li><li>Pay in instalments with a 5% upfront fee on your total accommodation fees</li></ul> Legal ObligationsYour contract with Collegiate is legally binding. If you leave before the contract period ends, you will not receive a reduction in rent. Payment MethodsYou can make payments using the following methods:<ul><li>Debit/Credit Card</li><li>Pay by Bank</li><li>Bank Transfer</li></ul>

Payment Terms

Cancellation WindowYou will have 3 days from making your booking to sign the Tenancy Agreement. The Reservation Rent is fully refundable if you cancel your booking within this period. If you do not cancel within the 3-day period, we will retain the Reservation Rent. Tenancy AgreementOnce the Tenancy Agreement has been signed, the Reservation Rent will be held until the first rental payment falls due under your Tenancy Agreement and will be offset against the amount due. Cancellation ProcedureTo cancel your booking, you must inform us in writing by sending an email to the property you booked with. No Place, No Pay PolicyEligibility: This policy is only available to first-year undergraduate or first-year postgraduate students.Conditions:<ul><li>You must inform us within 7 days of receiving your university place rejection.</li><li>You must provide us with a written rejection letter from your chosen university/college.</li><li>The final date to submit this evidence is 30th August.</li></ul>Outcome: If these conditions are met, you can cancel your booking, and we will refund any rent paid. No Visa, No Pay PolicyEligibility: This policy is applicable only to first-year undergraduate or postgraduate international students coming to the UK.Conditions:<ul><li>You must inform us within 7 days of receiving notification that your visa application has been declined.</li><li>You must provide us with official notification from the visa authorities.</li><li>The final date to submit this evidence is 30th August.</li></ul>Outcome: If these conditions are met, you can cancel your booking, and we will refund any rent paid. Cancellation by ProviderIn the unlikely event that the provider has to cancel your booking, they will notify you in writing and provide you with alternative accommodation. If the alternative accommodation is not suitable, you will have the option to cancel your booking and receive a full refund of any rent paid. General Conditions for Refunds<ul><li>Any refund due will be processed within 14 days of receiving the necessary evidence.</li><li>This policy does not affect your statutory rights.</li><li>If you have any extenuating circumstances that prevent you from taking your place at University or your room with us, you will need to provide evidence of your circumstances.</li></ul> The above cancellation policy is a synopsis of the property’s cancellation policy. There could be a few changes incorporated from time to time. Hence, we recommend you review the full Accommodation Contract for a comprehensive understanding of their cancellation policies.&nbsp;

Just a wonderful stay overall. I'm particularly fond of how warm and accommodating the staff is. Everything gets fixed right away whenever humanly possible.
Will always come back to Plummer House!!

Staying at plummer house has been the best experience. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the university, city centre, restaurants and public transport which made daily life very convenient.
The rooms are modern, well furnished and generally comfortable. The building feels secure, with key card access and staff available when needed.

Plummer House is a great student accommodation, in a good location with fantastic common spaces and friendly staff. Spacious rooms and very clean interiors and in good maintenance. Highly recommended.
