International Women's Day: Pioneer Women Who Studied Abroad

Julia Child, an American cooking teacher, author, and television personality, is one of the prime examples of famous women who studied abroad! She is famous for bringing French cuisine to the American public with her famous cookbook, Mastering the Art of French Cooking. She also starred in several television programmes, including The French Chef, which premiered in 1963!

Influenced by France, Julia Child attended Le Cordon Bleu's cooking school in Paris. She then received a Fullbright scholarship from Newnham College in Cambridge.
