Departments and Divisions
NYP schools and courses are the School of Applied Science, the School of Business Management, the School of Design & Media, the School of Engineering, the School of Health & Social Sciences, the School of Information Technology, the Centre for Foundation & General Studies, and the Polytechnic Foundation Programme. At the School of Applied Science (SAS), you can find courses in applied science, applied chemistry, biologics and process technology, food science and nutrition, chemical and pharmaceutical technology, and pharmaceutical science. Also, the School of Design & Media (SDM) equips its students with skills for the creative industry, through its eight diploma courses: animation & visual effects, architecture, digital game, art & design experiential product & interior design, game development & technology, interaction design, motion graphics design, and visual communication. The School of Business Management (SBM) will equip you with all the skills you need to face the rigorous demands of a fast-paced digital economy. NYP also offers internships, scholarships, and overseas programmes.
Facilities and Resources
Spread over 305,000 m2, the NYP large campus is fully equipped with all the facilities and amenities the students need. The campus houses 14 administration blocks, three blocks for recreational and student development purposes, and three blocks for staff accommodation. It has many facilities, including a fully computerised library, laboratories, a theatre for the arts, and an auditorium. Retail outlets on campus provide a variety of academic items as well as other leisure items. As for the sports facilities, there is the track, field, adventure challenge park, gym, swimming pool, tennis court, and rock-climbing walls. Additionally, badminton, table tennis, basketball, and ping pong are available in the air-conditioned sports hall. An Olympic-sized swimming pool is also available on-campus and located beside the sports hall.
