496 undergraduate students were awarded their diplomas on Saturday at the Indiana State University’s 2021 Winter Commencement Ceremony at the Hulman Center.

Caleb Hamilton, a recent graduate, said the years of hard effort he put in to get his degree made this moment even more remarkable. “The feeling on the inside of you doing that was a wonderful feeling,” Hamilton elaborated. “Seeing everyone around you and the friends that you went to college with graduating is a true blessing.”

This graduating class faced numerous challenges, including handling a global pandemic. The Covid impact, according to graduate Stanley Vischak, delayed his graduation, but it provided him time to plan his career. “The whole pandemic made things more challenging,” Vischak said.

These alumni are taking their first steps into the realm of post-grad education. Vischak and many others are looking forward to the future and spending time with his family and friends.
