Moda Living Limited, which is a Harrogate-based developer, is working on exploring the student housing market by announcing its intention to deliver over 10,000 PBSA units, hopefully over the next five years.

There has already been an initiative where Moda Living Limited’s developers have explored and marked several sites for schemes in Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, and Manchester. The plan is to put around 4,000 student beds.

"Like the mainstream housing market, UK student accommodation is crying out for quality new homes to address the shortage, and we're very confident that demand for sustainable, community-focused homes will ensure the success of this new addition to Moda's portfolio of rental platforms." the co-founder and CEO of Moda Living, Johnny Caddick, remarked.

The student accommodation they’re planning on building will involve both apartments with shared kitchens and private studios. This gives students the opportunity to have more choices for them according to what suits them best.

This student housing will form part of the Moda Living UK pipeline, which has over 24,000 rental properties. These properties include build-to-rent, single-family rental, and co-living places. This will cost them around £6.8 billion.

Well-being and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations are highlighted by Moda Living as top priorities. There will be several amenities and features tailored to the students to make their stay much easier. These amenities will include spaces for events, wellness zones, and green spaces. There are also private dining areas for students to eat. A shared study space is also provided for students if they want to study. There are also roof terraces for students to enjoy the view. Moda Living provides students with a fitness suite in case they want to exercise.
