A Direct Debit mandate will be sent with your AST and rent payment schedule. There is no charge for this service.

Payment Terms

4.1 Cancellation during the cooling off period(s):<ul><li dir="ltr">Before August 1st: 7-day cooling-off period to cancel without penalty.</li><li dir="ltr">After August 1st: 24-hour cooling-off period to cancel without penalty.</li><li dir="ltr">Cancelling after the cooling-off period may result in losing your deposit.</li></ul>4.2 Cancellations after the cooling off period(s):<ul><li dir="ltr">Requires finding a replacement tenant to take over your lease.</li><li dir="ltr">You're liable for rent until the replacement tenant's cooling-off period ends.</li></ul>Finding a replacement:<ul><li dir="ltr">Advertise on Spareroom.com, Facebook, university notice boards, or ask friends.</li><li dir="ltr">Contact us Cloud Student Homes with the new tenant's information.</li></ul>4.3 Cancellations after you have moved into the accommodation:<ul><li dir="ltr">Notify the Accommodation Team of your intention to leave.</li><li dir="ltr">Find a replacement tenant for the remaining lease term.</li><li dir="ltr">Replacement tenants must pay equal or greater rent. You're liable for any difference.</li><li dir="ltr">A professional cleaning fee will be deducted from your deposit.</li><li dir="ltr">Cloud Student Homes may assist with finding a replacement (subject to availability).</li><li dir="ltr">Contact the Accommodation Team as soon as possible.</li></ul>4.4 Cancellations by Cloud Student Homes or the Landlord:<ul><li dir="ltr">Unsigned agreements will be cancelled upon expiry.</li><li dir="ltr">If the accommodation becomes unavailable, Cloud will offer alternatives or a full refund.</li></ul>4.5 First-year students who do not get a place at university: "No Place, No Stay"<ul><li dir="ltr">Applies only to first-year students.</li><li dir="ltr">Submit a written copy of the university rejection letter within 5 days of receiving it.</li><li dir="ltr">Does not apply if you withdraw your application.</li></ul>4.6 VisasVisa Refusal: If your visa has been refused, you must contact Cloud Student Homes within 5 days with evidence of the refusal.Processing: Cloud Student Homes will process your cancellation and refund your deposit.Recommendation: It's recommended to contact Cloud Student Homes directly to handle the visa process.The above cancellation policy is a synopsis of the properties cancellation policy.
