About The Recording Rooms
Birmingham is a major city in England’s West Midlands region, with multiple Industrial Revolution-era landmarks that speak to its 18th-century history as a manufacturing powerhouse. It’s also home to a network of canals, many of which radiate from Sherborne Wharf and are now lined with trendy cafes and restaurants. Birmingham is known as the founding city for the recognition of Veterans Day and hosts the nation’s oldest and largest Veterans Day celebration.
The Recording Rooms is a student housing in Birmingham that offers Studio rooms in four styles; club, standard, plus, and deluxe. All these self-contained studios feature big comfy beds, wardrobes, workspaces, and ample storage. They also come with private bathrooms, private kitchens, and lounge areas.
The property also offers a penthouse for students who prefer more space. There are also Cluster En-suites that feature everything found in studio rooms with the exclusion of the private kitchens. This makes en-suite rooms more practical and affordable.
The Recording Rooms offers high-speed Wi-fi, free contents insurance, and on-site maintenance. It houses a common room with TVs, where you can meet and socialise with your flatmates. Also, it has a quiet study room where you can study your lessons and a free on-site gym that’s accessible 24/7. You will also find bike storage, a laundry room, and an outdoor area where you can enjoy the warmth of the sun.
The Recording Rooms is situated in a dynamic location that puts everything you might need within your reach. There are a Tesco Express and Sainsbury’s Local right around the corners, while green spaces such as Elmdon Road Cricket Ground and Selly Park are just a few minutes away. You can visit the Lapworth Museum of Geology for all the rock, fossil, gem, and mineral collections you like, or admire the beauty of the historical landmark, Old Joe. The Barber Institute of Fine Arts is also nearby if you’re more into art. In the morning, grab your breakfast at Breakfast & Dessert Corner @ Rooster House (Halal). When it’s time for dinner, get the best chicken at Pepe's Piri Piri, or go to Cafe 55 for Pan-Asian cuisine.Location
The University of Birmingham is just a 6-minute walk away from the property. Aston University is a 13-minute car ride away. There are more than 3 bus stations surrounding the property. Aston Webb Blvd/Grange Rd is just a 6-minute walk away, while Dawlish Rd is 7 minutes away on foot.

Cancellation Policy
Can I cancel my booking?
If you accept an offer of accommodation online or by signing a Tenancy Agreement, and then decide you wish to cancel outside of the Initial Cancellation Period, the following applies:
- You remain liable for the weekly rent (for each and every week or part week) until you are able to find another tenant that is acceptable to Homes for Students (it is your responsibility to find another tenant) and we are able to re-let the room
- If we are able to re-let the room we will release you from the agreement upon payment of a £250 release fee which we will recover by retaining your deposit (which will not, therefore, be returned). If you have paid a different amount as a deposit (such as £150) then this is the amount that will be retained.
1st Year Applicants Only
If you are a prospective student and your offer of a place at your preferred University/Higher Education Institution is withdrawn by the University/Higher Education Institution, you may be eligible to be released from this agreement.
To apply to be released from the agreement you will need to provide:
- Written confirmation that you wish to cancel your reservation.
- Supporting evidence from the University or UCAS.
Special conditions
You can terminate your tenancy agreement if you have an existing medical condition and this is recorded on your application prior to a room offer being made. We will require medical proof with your application and you will be liable for a minimum of 4 weeks’ rent or to the end of the current rent period, whichever is longer.
