Guildford is a historic town in Surrey, England, that blends heritage with a welcoming student atmosphere. The modern town can trace its origins to the Roman occupation of Britain, with evidence of Roman settlements discovered throughout the area. Today, you can explore landmarks such as Guildford Castle, stroll along the picturesque River Wey, or browse the shops, cafés, and restaurants lining the town's charming High Street.

Guildford is also a popular destination for many students, thanks to institutions such as University of Surrey and Guildford School of Acting. Outside of lectures, students often meet friends in local cafés, relax in the town's parks, enjoy live performances at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, or take advantage of the town's excellent rail connections, with regular trains to London and other parts of southeast England. Guildford's compact, walkable centre makes it easy to balance university life with everything the town has to offer.

Where can I find the full termination policy?
It is available in the booking section and on the documents page. You must read and understand it before confirming your booking.

Can I cancel within the initial period?
Yes. You may cancel within 7 days of accepting the offer or paying the deposit (whichever occurs first), provided you have not moved into the property. If eligible, your security deposit will be refunded in full.

How long does it take to receive the deposit refund?
Refunds are normally processed within 28 working days of cancellation. If the deposit has already been secured with a third-party protection scheme, the refund may take up to 60 days due to the scheme’s processing time. In this case, the refund will be issued directly by the scheme and may require a repayment reference provided by them. The landlord cannot influence or speed up this process. Deposits are legally required to be protected in a third-party scheme.

What happens if I cancel after the 7-day initial period?
You remain liable for rent on a weekly basis, including any part-week, until the room is re-let.

When will I be released from the agreement after late cancellation?
You will only be released once the room has been successfully re-let and any required release payment or fees have been paid.

The above cancellation policy is a synopsis of the property’s cancellation policy. There could be a few changes incorporated from time to time.
