What I appreciated most was the privacy and peaceful environment. My studio was cosy and comfortable, making it an excellent place to study and work without disturbance. As someone who values privacy and prefers my own space, this suited me perfectly. The whole building was consistently clean and hygienic, including the corridors, reception and social areas, which I appreciated. The room was well designed, with a surprisingly large bed for a studio, an excellent study desk and a great kitchen. The Wi-Fi was consistently fast and reliable, and the heating was excellent. Kate and the team were extremely helpful throughout and always approachable whenever students needed assistance. I also really appreciated how safe and secure Mercury House felt. Controlled access meant I always felt completely comfortable living there. I could study, work and switch off in peace. The only minor downside was keeping my blinds closed for privacy as I was on the ground floor near the back gate, although natural light was never an issue. Overall, comfortable, private, peaceful and secure. Highly recommended, and wishing the Mercury House team all the very best!
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/a-/ALV-UjXmpoLlU8TOXgTxLXyNLgO2wEOrz8bTsFlUTN7Urpw1jtna7RbK=s128-c0x00000000-cc-rp-mo
5
I spent 9 months living here during my language program in Bournemouth, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Honestly, I don’t have much to complain about. In my opinion, it’s the best student accommodations in Bournemouth no doubt.

The staff are always friendly, approachable, and genuinely helpful. They organise different social events every week, which makes it easy to meet new people and creates a welcoming atmosphere. Staying here has truly felt like a home away from home.

The rooms are clean, and the layout is practical and well suited to student life. The communal area is another great feature, with a pool table, a PS5, and plenty of board games for everyone to enjoy.

The only minor downside is that rooms facing the sun can get quite warm during the summer, especially during heatwaves. However, this is only really noticeable during the hottest days of the year. Depending on your room’s location, you may also occasionally hear people walking to and from the nearby pub, although I didn’t find it to be a major issue.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/a-/ALV-UjUuWcsmGyh_8-1qOGzcD9wnxjo53_ew_59l6rqwXFW3Prgj4nl3=s128-c0x00000000-cc-rp-mo
5
I have been living at Mercury House and I am genuinely very happy with my experience here. The accommodation organizes regular social events every week, which makes it easy to meet new people and feel connected. The staff are also supportive with everyday matters, not just accommodation-related issues, which has been especially valuable as an international student.

The location is excellent, with easy access to the town centre, shops, restaurants, public transport, and the university. Where can I find the full termination policy?
It is available in the booking section and on the documents page. You must read and understand it before confirming your booking.

Can I cancel within the initial period?
Yes. You may cancel within 7 days of accepting the offer or paying the deposit (whichever occurs first), provided you have not moved into the property. If eligible, your security deposit will be refunded in full.

How long does it take to receive the deposit refund?
Refunds are normally processed within 28 working days of cancellation. If the deposit has already been secured with a third-party protection scheme, the refund may take up to 60 days due to the scheme’s processing time. In this case, the refund will be issued directly by the scheme and may require a repayment reference provided by them. The landlord cannot influence or speed up this process. Deposits are legally required to be protected in a third-party scheme.

What happens if I cancel after the 7-day initial period?
You remain liable for rent on a weekly basis, including any part-week, until the room is re-let.

When will I be released from the agreement after late cancellation?
You will only be released once the room has been successfully re-let and any required release payment or fees have been paid.
