The quality is good, the location is convenient, and my experience here has mostly been positive. However, there are still a few things that could be improved

1- like one problem is that the carpet or flooring in the room gets dirty very quickly. 2- when the room next to me closes their door loudly, sometimes the sound is so strong that I think someone closed my own door.

3- the sink water temperature It is either too cold or too hot, and it’s difficult to get a comfortable middle temperature.I sometimes started washing my face in the kitchen sink instead, because there I can actually make the water a medium temperature
4- The wardrobe/storage room is also quite small.

5- The laundry room is outside my building, so I need to leave the building and walk to another room for washing clothes. It is close, but sometimes it rains, sometimes it’s very cold, and honestly it makes me feel lazy to do laundry. Also, the laundry costs money every time, so that makes it even less convenient. I wish the laundry room was inside the building because it would be much easier.

On the positive side:

1- the quality of the accommodation is good.
2- The desk is big and very comfortable for studying.
3- The location is also great because it is close to Northumbria University and the Quayside.

4- There is a small market in front of the accommodation, which is very useful when I don’t feel like walking to the far Tesco and just want something quick. There is also a pizza store nearby.

?One thing that really impressed me was when the kitchen toaster broke. They replaced it with a new one without blaming anyone or making us pay for it. I thought that was very professional and kind.

Cleaners also come every month. Me and my flatmate already clean the kitchen deeply every week, but the accommodation cleaning is even more professional and detailed.

?Another thing I like is the mail room system. Parcels are organized alphabetically, so when you order something online, you only need to look for the shelf with the first letter of your name. For example, my name starts with “K,” so I only check the “K” section, which makes collecting parcels very easy.

thanks✨
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/a-/ALV-UjVkvgAPth475P3je9yokmcwDs2U6Up0uI_nCFbr7Hm158FNLUhh=s128-c0x00000000-cc-rp-mo
5
Very good accommodation, very attentive and helpful staff who are extremely quick to help. the maintenance team are exceptionally quick (one highlighted incident is when they arrived and fixed the flat front door 10 minutes after putting a request in, this was also at 12:30am). the facilities are amazing and provide so many opportunities for residents. the actual rooms are really lovely and clean, the perfect space for 1 person with great storage and sockets. internet speed is amazing making it great for students. kitchen is a good size with great facilities. i would definitely recommend quaypoint and i have rebooked for the next academic year.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/a-/ALV-UjVOxooBPmK8PlABCYkZEluEBBhJFeXaSqbIkTNdzOLBk7ht7l3H=s128-c0x00000000-cc-rp-mo
5
Moved into a new flat today and Michael was extremely helpful throughout the entire process and offered to help carry most of my things! Can I cancel my Unite Students booking during the cooling-off period?
Yes. You can cancel your booking within 7 days of receiving confirmation that your booking is complete, as long as you have not collected your accommodation keys. You will not be charged, and any deposit or advance rent paid will be refunded. Different cooling-off rules may apply to rooms in Wales.

Can I cancel my booking after the 7-day cooling-off period?
After the cooling-off period ends, you are generally responsible for the payments due under your Tenancy Agreement unless an eligible replacement tenant is found or you enter into a new tenancy with Unite Students.

Can I cancel my booking if I find a replacement tenant?
Yes, you may propose a replacement tenant. However, Unite Students must approve the replacement and may instead put the room back on general sale or offer it to another student on a waiting list. You will be released from your tenancy 7 days after a replacement arrangement is made.

What happens if I find a replacement tenant after my tenancy starts?
You will be released from your tenancy when the replacement tenant's new tenancy begins. If you have already occupied the room, a £50 charge will apply to cover the cost of preparing it for the new tenant.

Can I cancel my booking if I do not get the required university grades?
Yes, eligible first-year undergraduate students may be able to cancel under the No Place No Pay policy if their chosen university withdraws their offer because they did not achieve the required grades. You may also qualify if you exceed your expected grades and choose to attend a different university.

What documents do I need for No Place No Pay?
You must provide either a university, college, or UCAS rejection confirming that you did not achieve the required grades, or proof through UCAS Adjustment that you have accepted a place at another university. These documents must be submitted with the Cancellation Form within 7 calendar days of your results being published.

Can I cancel my tenancy if I withdraw from university or suspend my studies?
If you are an eligible Common Law Tenant living in England from the 2026/27 academic year, you may be able to end your tenancy if you withdraw from, are excluded from, or are refused admission to your institution. You may also qualify if you have been absent from your course for more than 60 days due to illness and have agreed with your university to suspend your studies.

How much notice do I need to give if I qualify for this cancellation right?
You must provide at least 4 weeks' written notice, state your intended departure date, and provide satisfactory evidence of your non-student status or suspension of studies. You must also move out by the departure date stated in your notice.
