The building is well-maintained, secure, and thoughtfully run, but what truly sets iQ Grove apart is the staff.

Arek and Julie deserve special recognition. Every single time I’ve needed assistance, whether it was a quick question, maintenance support, or something more administrative, they’ve handled it with efficiency, warmth, and grace. There’s never any sense of inconvenience; they assist seamlessly and make you feel truly supported. Their professionalism is matched by their kindness, which makes such a difference.

Living in IQ Grove means experiencing life at an accommodation where you feel both looked after and respected. I’m thankful for the environment the team has created: supportive, responsive, and consistently great.

If you’re considering staying here, I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/a-/ALV-UjVOAGsiOZeu7N5UpZhiagxm1CmtBQ9gAF4Ajq7lRJ3eUFDrxC4=s128-c0x00000000-cc-rp-mo-ba3
5
I’ve been living in IQ for three years now whilst I studied at university. I moved in during the 2020 pandemic and even though it was quite daunting IQ immediately felt like home.

Julie, Wi, and all the staff have been amazing. They are always so friendly and welcoming and even have given me advice when trying to get internships or make decisions. I love having chats with them once in a while and they always make me laugh and cheer my days. The events they organise are so lovely and really make me look forward to something special and take a break from my studies. One time they organised a trip during the beginning of the year to take some people to IKEA and it was so much fun to do some essentials shopping for the flat.

IQ has really felt like a home during these past years and I’ll miss it so much when I move out! I really recommend this site if you are a student looking for some accommodation during your university years. Studying in King's Building. Did not choose to live near that place, and below is why I decided to live here next year even though here is (relatively) far away from KB.

This is the first time I have lived in the UK and Edinburgh, and I never thought life could be as easy and as comfortable as this here. Then I realised that this is because I have chosen to live in this accommodation. First, importantly, I never thought the wifi could be this fast (somebody told me wifi is slow in Edinburgh). It should be even faster compared to my home (feels like) and never lag or have packages lost when playing games. I play games with a friend in Japan, and I am sure that there is no problem if you want to connect to any server in Japan (you know, it will not be as good as you are personally in that place, there is unavoidable physical distance). (But one time, it was horrible during the exam, maybe because too many people wanted to use it simultaneously, but I hope the special circumstances team will accept my late submission... But overall, it is perfect.)

The receptionists (or the guard) are really lovely, friendly and accomodating. I can even chat with them if both of us are free. I forgot my keys several times, and they helped me each time.
Because an Amazon deliverer hurried me, I forgot my key for the first time. However, when I got to the reception the deliverer was already nowhere to find. At this time, Julie, an amiable and kind lady, pointed the direction to which the deliverer went. So that finally I could chase the deliverer and get my parcel. It was so embarrassing to speak out that I forgot to take the key. But the lady was very welcoming to help and gave me a temporary key. Another day when I went down, she gifted me a pack of yummy shortbread (Scottish cookie) and showed me her lovely son. We took a fantastic selfie together! I think she must be a great mom. On the day of Burn’s Night, she gifted me a cup of soup that she cooked. It was the first time I had ever drank soup in the UK, and it was so delicious and reminded me of my favourite soup during my high school year (I’ve told her this). I really love the soup. I also like the day when she gifted me milk tea and chocolate coins for the Chinese New Year.

Wioleta is a beautiful and kind staff. Whereas she is Polish, her English is extremely good. I remembered that one day I was about to add the key to laundry to my key. However, after it was successfully added, it appears that there is a problem with my key, and I could not open the door to my flat. She solved this problem with patience and went with me to check if the key was functioning normally in person several times. I thought it would trouble and bother her, however, she dealt with the problem with patience and speed. I also remembered there was a day she cooked great cotton candy, but when I got to the reception there was no candy left! However, she gifted me the one which was originally prepared for her daughter. See how good she treats the students living here!~
And when there would be maintenance work during my exam, I emailed her and she immediately stopped the maintenance during my exam.

So if there is anything you are unhappy with, communicate first, talk with and contact the staff here. I believe they will try their best to help you if possible. (And they are really patient).

Overall, I love this accommodation. This is my first year in the UK and Edinburgh, I am lucky to live in this accommodation, and I will also be here the following year. The time for travelling every day does not really matter so much as long as you have a comfortable and satisfying place to live. And if I study for my master's degree in another city, I will also choose to live in iQ (it is so good that iQ is everywhere).
