Cambridge is a city that is well-known among students thanks to its famous universities including; Cambridge University, Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge Regional College, and Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts. It is a city with more than 800 years of history and it is known as an educational and cultural asset. Cambridge University alone was built in the 12th century. Currently, the city has the highest amount of preserved historic buildings in England and they are all centred around Cambridge University's 31 colleges. Cambridge University and many others have student cycling clubs that students can join to enjoy various marathons and activities. Other student activities in Cambridge include Drama clubs and musicals that students can visit in theatres like the Cambridge Theatre.

Students can also enjoy various free student activities in Cambridge. They can visit the Fitzwilliam Museum for free and enjoy the scriptures and art of impressionist sculptor and painter, Edgar Degas, or they can enjoy a walk around Wandlebury Country Park. Visiting St Mary’s Church is also a must for students, it is a gorgeous historic building with a cheap ticket of just £5 and the view from the top of the church is breathtaking. World-class events are easy to find in Cambridge as the city hosts cultural events and festival throughout the year, including Midsummer Fair, a fair that is 800 years old and held normally on Midsummer Common. There is also Cambridge Folk Festival which is a world-class film festival that is well-known between students.

Cambridge is a city with plenty of transportations, and as a city that encourages public transportations, it is probably the only city with the Park and Ride service. They are sites where you can park your car for a small fee and ride public transportations. The main website for park and ride provides a map of each site and what transportations you could take from there. The city also has bus lines working all over the city all year round, their maps and timetable can easily be found on the county council’s website. Finally, avid cyclers and students living in Cambridge can easily check CamCycle's full cycling map.
